About Jim

Jim Munro got started designing websites waaaay back in 1993 when the web was a wee infant and a hideous nightmare of animated GIFs and flashing text.

I’ve explored various back allies of  software engineering and design, but finally decided to return to web design full time in 2008.  Since that time I’ve ventured into web-based marketing and sales, studied and utilized search engine optimizing and explored PPC advertising.

I starplaying around with computers as a kid and attempted pathetically to write a first-person shooter on the Commodore 64 on my friends computer.
I began designing web pages when I wrote a homepage for a housing cooperative I lived in during college.  (My first paying coding gig!)  HTML 1.0, NCSA Mosaic browsing, tables based pages, flashing text and lots of hideous animated “under construction” gifs.  This all on my Centris 610 (20 MHz processory, with a 250GB hard drive and upgraded to 8MB of RAM! Wow!)
For some reason ($) I got away from coding for the web and began working on windows application development software testing and application for a few years. I quickly decided software testing was boring and wanted to feed my creative side so I jumped into website development once again and was relieved at how much better it all worked with CSS and Content Management Systems like Joomla and WordPress.
I enjoyed it so much I bought the company, er rather I started my own web design business to make webpages for other folks too. Feel free to contact me for a quote or just to chat.
