I have to say I am a WordPress junkie. I just like to use it. What’s not to like:
- Probably the most popular blogging software.
- Tons of user supported code
- Easy to theme
- WYSIWYG text editor
But it’s also been a huge time-waster for OCD fidgety people like me who like to see and try out every single plugin, no matter how strange. I have spent countless hours poking around the extends/plugins directory and scoured the blogging tips pages on the quest for the perfect balance of useful plugins.
I guess it’s one of the risks, but it really does keep me swapping out plugins rather than actually writing posts.
I guess I should just institute a lock-down of my plugin setup and force myself not to change anything.
I’ll go look and see if there’s a plugin to do that. :O
